Father and Son

Today we took our son to the National Zoo in Washington, DC. It was the first time for all of us and I think our son enjoyed it greatly.

Whilst walking together (he doesn't like to ride in the stroller ALL the time) I just saw the perfect picture of both my husband and son. I had to take it. It is in color, however, I changed it to grayscale for more depth. I really like the turn out.

Cat in Black and White

This is my cat, Darien. He is a tuxedo cat and I just thought it would be neat to take some greyscale photos of him.

Darien loves to sit on my husband's computer desk while we are in the office. I guess one could say it's one of his many "special spots". He didn't seem to enthused when I took this photo of him.

I'm not a huge greyscale fan, but there are just some photos that I believe look better in black and white than in color. I love the contrast in black and white photos, especially when shadow is involved.

Here is another photo I took of Darien on the back of our living room chair. Originally it was in color, however I think it looks amazing in black and white. I love how his black fur melds into the shadow.
